Marcelo is a unique horseman that has been successful as an Open Rider in various disciplines around the world as Reining ( 2018 World Ranking n1 FEI), Cowhorse (2022 AZRCHA Open Hackamore champion & 2023 ApHC Junior Cowhorse R. World Champion).
Nowadays, Marcelo focuses mainly in Working Equitation and he is encouraging riders of all levels to learn this sport and the all around benefits for both English and Western disciplines.
Marcelo’s COLT STARTING PROGRAM is on of a kind and is activetly producing new horses on a program that’s based in the old Spanish Jineta (chilean rodeo), Classical Dressage, Natural Horsemanship and the Vaquero Style inherited from multi world champion Al Dunning’s team AD accreditation program. All this knowledge was learned by working and learning from many master trainers in Chile, Argentina, Brasil, USA, Australia, Italy & England.
As a coach, Marcelo has helped many non-pros to accomplish their dreams at regional, national and international FEI level by setting realistic goals according to the horses quality and riders level.
Marcelo deals personally with every horse and his program goes from Colt Starting to finished Performance Horses. He has very limited openings in order to give every horses the time needed to keep them self mentally and physically fit in order to perform at the best of their capabilities.

A short story of our trainer
Marcelo is a fourth generation Open Rider and breeder with a very successful all around english and western career. After several years of learning between Chile, Australia, England, Italy and USA, Marcelo archived many national championships in Chilean highschool and college Rodeos but also accomplished several National Final Rodeos before reached the number 1 in the 2018 FEI Reining World Ranking as he qualifies for his second time to the FEI World Equestrian Games on May 2018 as part of team Chile. In 2019 Marcelo and his imported stud “Lil’ Rockstar” moved to the USA earning the 2019 Year End Novice Horse Champion of the KRHA and the Year end Multi Open Champion of The CPRHA on 2020. Also on 2020, Marcelo became the newest ‘‘Al Duning’s Team AD International Accredited Trainer’’ after several years of no one being able to achieve this title from Al Dunning, but he also did it in his stallion Lil’Rockstar becoming the first and only trainer to get such high caliber accreditation in a horse that wasn’t a quarter horse.
On 2021 Marcelo Focused in starting new generations of champions that placed in many open events in AZ.
2022 highlights where compiting on MASTERS LEVEL in Working Equitation and 2022 AZRCHA Open Hackamore Champion with wins in AZ and also first master level place at the prestigious IALHA show.
2023 was also a great year since Marcelo became 3yo ApHC Cowhorse Incentive World Champion and Junior Cowhorse Res. World Champion.
Nowadays, Marcelo is established in West Jefferson, OHIO in comfortable weather proof facilities with everything needed to train, show and sell world class performance horses, year round.
